Designing Stolio.cz: The UX Behind a Restaurant Reservation System Now Live Across the Czech Republic
How EasyDesign designed Stolio.cz — a restaurant reservation platform now operating across the Czech Republic — balancing complex functionality with an interface anyone can use, plus a first-of-its-kind Google Maps review booster.
Stolio.cz is a restaurant reservation system that is now live and operating in restaurants across the Czech Republic. EasyDesign led the interface and experience design from end to end. Our co-founder, Ing. George Maisuradze, describes it as one of the most demanding UI and UX projects the studio has taken on — because in hospitality software, the interface is the product.
Reservation software has to do a great deal at once. It manages tables, guests, time slots and availability, sends notifications, and syncs with the point-of-sale system. Yet it also has to be usable by a busy host in the middle of a dinner rush and by a guest booking a table on a phone in a matter of seconds. The core challenge was to make something highly specific and deeply functional feel effortless and genuinely friendly.
So we designed two experiences inside one product. For the restaurant there is a clear control panel for tables, guests and reservations, email notifications, a custom restaurant website, and a digital menu accessible by QR code. For the guest there is a public booking link and an embeddable widget that turns a reservation into a ten-second task.
Because Czech restaurants serve both local regulars and international visitors, the entire system — from the booking flow to the digital menu — is fully bilingual in Czech and English. Language never becomes a barrier to a booking.
Stolio.cz is also the first solution on the market with a smart Google Maps review booster built directly into the platform. After a guest has visited, the system intelligently and automatically invites satisfied guests to leave a Google review, steadily lifting the rating and visibility of the restaurant on Google Maps. For restaurants, Google reviews are one of the strongest drivers of new bookings, which makes this feature crucial.
